NBTC has revised the Notification on MVNO in Thailand

New Notification on MVNO in Thailand as of July 2020
Following a round of public hearings in mid 2019. The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has revised the Notification on Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO) in Thailand.
In the announcement from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), it states that the revision was added to the Government Gazette: Book Number: 137, Section: 172 on July 20, 2020.
The regulator states, that the revision to the Mobile Virtual Network Mobile Phone Service Notification B.E. 2556 (2013) was in order to be consistent with the current situation, support free and fair competition and promote fair entry for smaller entrepreneurs, which increases the level of competition in the Thai mobile market and give users an opportunity to access more service.
This Notification came into force from the day following the date of its publication in the Government Gazette, which is dated back in July 20, 2020 and shall annul the Mobile Virtual Network Mobile Phone Service Notification B.E. 2556 (2013).
