Sterlite Technologies acquires OSS/BSS provider Elitecore

Sterlite Technologies acquires Elitecore Technologies for $27 million

Sterlite Technologies Ltd. an Indian manufacturer of optical fibers, telecommunication cables and power transmission conductors has announced its acquisition of the OSS/BSS provider Elitecore Technologies from First Carlyle Ventures Mauritius for $27 million.

This acquisition widens Sterlite’s telecom portfolio of offerings to its global customers – in addition to its current offerings comprising optical products and allied system integration services, Sterlite will now offer industry software solutions for operations support, business support and revenue management.

Upon completion of the transaction, Elitecore Technologies is proposed to be merged into Sterlite Technologies.

Thailand’s second state enterprise telecom operator “CAT Telecom” is currently implementing Elitecore’s Business support systems (BSS) in an effort to provide its coming MVNOs with a billing and customer management system.
