i-mobile hangs up its MVNO business

I-Mobile, a subsidiary of Samart Corporation, and one of the first five MVNO pioneers to launch in Thailand on TOT’s 2100MHz in 2009, has submitted its notice to the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) that they are hanging up their MVNO business.

TOT delays second-phase 3G expansion to 2014

The second phase of TOT's 3G 2100 MHz network expansion has been put off until 2014, as the state-run telecom provider can’t decide on its partnership models.
Samart Corporation is in talks with M Link Asia Corporation to buy into the company in a bid to expand Samart’s MVNO, I-Mobile Plus.
According to Bualuang Securities, i-Mobile Plus, a subsidiary of Samart Corporation, has set a target of 600-700k cumulative MVNO subscribers by end of 2013 and 2 million end of year 2014.
