LINE Mobile is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) in Japan, and although the local Thai version of LINE Mobile claim that it is not operated by LINE (Thailand), the app available on Google Play is from LINE COMPANY (THAILAND) LIMITED
Those interested in trying out LINE Mobile, must register through the website th.linemobile.com, which currently isen't available, and then wait 1-3 days for the SIM to arrive.
Once the SIM is in your phone (Android or iOS), you can turn on the service, and install the LINE Mobile Thai app to manage your price plan, set a spending limit, or change your package.
Users can toggle between Free unlimited data at 256 Kbps for general browsing, so you can save your high speed internet quota for when you really need it, and switch to full speed data when you need to enjoy high quality experience like HD video streaming.
Thailand is only the second market, after Japan in which the MVNO has launched. LINE Mobile says it is a digital mobile service provider on dtac TriNet, and it remains to be seen what the deal is with DTAC, as this would be the first time since the introduction of MVNOs in Thailand, that any of the mobile operators (AIS, DTAC, TRUE) has let a MVNO in on their network.
LINE, the Japanese arm of South Korean internet content provider Naver Corp, launched its first MVNO services in Japan in 2016, under the LINE Mobile brand name. The MVNO use NTT DOCOMO’s network in Japan and offer free access to Facebook, Twitter and its in-house messaging app, LINE.

Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator and Enabler MVNA/ MVNE One Development (Thailand) Co., Ltd., has been awarded a Type 1 telecoms license for Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator (MVNA) services in Thailand, by the telecom regulator NBTC.
Two more MVNO licenses issued in Thailand
NBTC has issued two more MVNO licenses, bringing the total of issued MVNO licenses to 57 since the introduction of MVNO in Thailand eight years ago. Nine have launched - six remains more or less active.
