In VimpelCom’s 2Q 2013 presentation, announced on 7 August 2013, there is a small notice regarding VimpelCom’s Laos operation under the Beeline brand.

After the sale of Vietnam in 2012 and Cambodia in April 2013, Laos is the only operator remaining from the VimpelCom/Beeline South East Asia cluster. Revenues in Laos decreased slightly YoY as result of a lower subscriber base.

The report shows that Beeline Laos achieved a minor growth of 6,300 subscribers compared to the 313,400 subscribers in the first quarter of 2013 (1Q13) - but perhaps more notable is that this marks the first growth in subscribers for Beeline Laos since 2010.

YoY however shows a decline from 378.400 subscribers in 2Q 2012 to 319,700 in Q2 2013.

ARPU was 62,109 LAK = U$7.14 in the second quarter of 2013 up U$0.11 from Q1 2013 and up U$1.70 compared to Q1 2012.
